With sixteen years of event planning experience, Krista Pierpont Sturbois founded KP Events in the fall of 2004. KP Events offers full service corporate and social event planning as well as hourly rate event consulting. Krista is fond of saying "make it memorable" and that is clear in every event we produce. Attention to detail and extraordinary thoughtfulness towards guest' experience and client's goals are what set KP Events apart.

Even a well planned event can be challenging to execute properly, but with Krista's management and leadership skills she and her staff make it look easy. According to Krista, "part of what makes event planning so enjoyable and so interesting is the necessity to predict human behavior and utilize that insight to plan transitions to keep your event moving smoothly, which is key to the overall client and guest experience." Even the most well planned event can have its surprises, but clients can remain at ease knowing that anything that comes up will be handled quickly, with grace, and perhaps the assistance of our on-site contingency kit.

Krista is a board member with the Columbus Chapter of ISES, the International Special Events Society, dedicated to continuing education for event professionals and the promotion of ethical business practices within the industry. Accordingly, KP Events adheres to the ISES' Principles of Professional Conduct and Ethics.

Pistachio, tucked away at 680 North Pearl Street in the Short North, is a hidden gem and one of our all time favorite finds. Certified Pastry Chef Spencer Budros and his business savvy sister, Anne Budros Fletcher, opened the doors to Pistachio in August of 2004. The accolades came quickly and have kept coming, no surprise to those who have had the opportunity to visit their shop or taste their amazing creations, all baked fresh on premise. From darling macaroons to individual cheesecake and tartlettes, chocolate tortes and terrines- all are exquisitely presented and beyond delicious. A selection from their seasonal menu, a creation from their "Celebrate!" service, or a custom wedding cake from Pistachio will elevate any event to spectacular!

KP Events is proud to support Columbus' St. Stephen's Community House, providing discounted planning and production services for their two annual events; Bravo! for the Children and The Gingerbread Tea.

The Gingerbread Tea was held at New Albany Country Club on November 12, 2006. Guests were treated to a high tea, a children's fashion show by Belles & Beaux Boutique and a stunning display of Gingerbread Houses created by Columbus' top chefs- while raising over 33,000 dollars for the children of St. Stephens! Save the date for next year's tea- November 12, 2007.

The 16th Annual Bravo! for the Children will be held on a private estate in New Albany. This annual event features delectable cuisine by Bravo! and a wonderful evening for guests while raising funds for St. Stephens. Save the date for this year's event- July 14, 2007.
